Eva’s shawl

Svenska här

At my last visit to the yarn store I picked upp a beautiful mohair yarn with sequins from Rowan. It is now out of stock but the name is Kidsilk Haze Glamour if you find it. 177 yards or 162 metres / 25 gr.

I bought white, turquoise and grey and I knew I wanted to make a shawl. I wanted a thin drapy one with some stich pattern but not to frilly.

So I found this pattern, Eva’s Shawl by Without Seams.

I really like the eyelet rows wich makes it interesting.

I used 3 balls of each color and hook size  G/ 6 and for border F/5.

Row 1-5 in white, after that the 3 repeated rows in turqouise, grey, turqouise, white, grey, turqouise, grey, white, turqouise, grey, turqouise, grey, white, and border in grey.

I also really like the shape of the shawl wich makes it stay on your shoulders.

I didn’t use the border in the original pattern. Instead I did this:

Ch 6, 1 dc in same st, skip next st, (1 dc, ch 3,1 dc) in next st, skip next st, repeat. In middle of shawl do (1dc, ch3, 1 dc) 2 times in same st, then continue as normal for rest of row. Finish of. Weave in ends.
